We have a strong desire for our
members and those that are attending Mt. Pleasant to be
involved with the ministry of the church. Listed
below are different "first serve" ministry areas that we
employ. If you see an area of a ministry that
interests you, then give it a try by using the form
below.
Ministry Descriptions
Set-up/Breakdown Team
This team is responsible for the set-up and breakdown of the chairs (and tables
if necessary) for the Sunday morning and Wed. evening worship services. This
team typically sets up and tears down after each of those services. Individuals
assisting with this ministry should be able to handle lifting and moving chairs
and hand trucks.
Greeters/Ushers
This team is responsible for greeting and welcoming our members and particularly
guests into the church each Sunday morning. Smiling, friendly people with a warm
spirit are encouraged to serve in this area.
Brotherhood/Women on Missions
The Brotherhood meets on an “as needed” basis to help with benevolent needs
within the church body and the community. The Brotherhood oversees the RA (boys
Wed. evening program). WOM Director oversees WOM, GA’s (girls Wed. evening
program) and Mission Friends. WOM Leaders lead the Women on Missions Group that
meets once per month.
Creative Arts Ministry
Worship Choir, Praise Team/Band, Children’s Choirs, Worship Technologies,
Passion Play, Drama Team, Ladies Ensemble-please contact Pastor Brad if you are
interested in any of these ministry opportunities.
Food/Fellowship
This team is responsible for set-up, arrangement and preparation of all church
related fellowship meals and functions within the church. This team plans and
prepares meals for each Wednesday evening and to assist with any other
fellowship meals of the church during the year as planned/scheduled. This team
is also asked to help with “Movie Nights” when possible/available.
Community Impact
This team seeks to use the facilities, properties/grounds of Mt. Pleasant
Baptist Church to reach people in our community. This team helps plan and
organize events/activities to engage the community through Community Impact
Festivals (CIF) as much as possible so as to bring them into contact with Jesus
Christ. The team strives to coordinate (at least) quarterly activities to
provide such opportunities for the Church members and the community. This team
also plans activities for the family such as movie nights, outings, etc.
